Studio Shoot – Michelle Uncategorized - March 9, 2009

Got Michelle in the studio the other night. (Thanks Michelle!) What a fun time! Michelle is like a photographer’s dream come true – I could just shout out different looks like “surprised!”, “angry!”, “contemplative!”, “WTF!”, etc. etc. and she would just pound them out in such a theatrical fashion that some of my shots weren’t even centered because I couldn’t stifle the giggles. And of course, on a dime, we could switch to a more serious, compelling look. I really like capturing the essence of the person im photographing, and with Michelle, she can be completely outgoing, hilarious, entertaining, and incredibly expressive (hence the “expressions” layout) and then deep down she is very intuitive, emotional and deep, hence the beautiful close-ups.

We had a variety of outfit changes, and lighting setups, so there’s a lot of images to work with. Still many more to go. Included here are the first bunch. I’m very happy with them – and hopefully she is too!
