The Jersey Fresh Food & Wine Festival Uncategorized - August 31, 2010

One of the reasons we cruised back to NJ was for the Jersey Fresh Food and Wine Festival, hosted by my friends at Heritage Vineyards. Now this event…. is massive. Over two dozen NJ wineries show up to pour their best vino and share the fun. There’s live music, great food and most importantly, awesome wine!!
The event was both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, Ben and I attended as guests and sampled the awesome wines being poured. (I think our favorites, other than the Heritage wines we adore, were the Cape May and Silver Decoy reds – both the Cabs (me) and the Merlots (Ben) )
On Sunday I returned, not to sample, but to pour with the Heritage gang. I had a blast sharing some of my absolute favorite wines with the guests of this event. And it was a privilege to be able to spend the day with the Heritage team.
Overall the entire weekend was amazing, and i’m glad we made the trip for it. And I must say, I’ve become spoiled in my taste in wine. I’d have to agree with my friend Carl, the Wine Wizard, in his theory that life is TOO SHORT for bad wine!
